Berwickshire Association for Voluntary Service (BAVS) has a wonderful walled garden behind the community store in Eyemouth. It is somewhat neglected right now but we are going to co-create a fabulous food garden.
The weeds will go, of course, to be replaced by raised beds. The walls will be planted with fruit bushes and espalier fruit trees. There will be space for BAVS shop volunteers to sit and enjoy the garden during their breaks. Food grown here will be shared between community garden volunteers and the wider local community.
