Turning a neglected urban space into a productive food garden
In Hawick we are working in partnership with the Salvation Army as a direct contact to those in the town and immediate area who are using the food banks. Those using food banks will be offered fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden, which is behind their community store.
We run workshops, training courses and supported volunteering sessions from the garden. Look out for the GARDEN OPEN sign on the High Street and pop along. Or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details
As you can see, we have a big job on our hands to return this unused, overgrown space into a productive garden.
But we’ve made a fabulous start!
