Winter Celebrations

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Winter Garden Celebration. We had lots of lovely feedback and it was great to hear Julie Smith Beukes’ memories of the garden. Her grandparents had lived in the house and grew lots of wonderful project in the house years ago. It is great to fill in gaps in the garden’s history.

Thanks to Works + for the brilliant bench which they made for us with two young lads from Gala Academy and to the Mens Shed for the planter and bird boxes.

A massive thank you to Joy Parker who donated her stunning mosaic for auction with the proceeds going to Abundant Borders and the Salvation Army food bank.

Thank you Michelle Stamp for more lovely plants for our garden.
It’s great to have such positive partnerships.

And what a wonderful afternoon we then had with our volunteers.

A delicious lunch followed by a very impressive Christmas cake made by our volunteer Lorna.

Then we had a festive star making session with Kat.

We finished up with the volunteers telling us what they’d like to grow in the garden next year and what they’d enjoyed most about volunteering this year. Happy Christmas to all our volunteers who’ve worked incredibly hard this year
