Look how wonderful the garden is looking  – potatoes, onions, apples, courgettes on the Ayton Primary school plot, two types of bean and lots of fresh herbs and salads. There are even sprouts coming along nicely, despite the foliage being ravaged by Cabbage Whites.  

Far too wet and windy for the Ayton Community Gardeners today, but doesn’t the garden look amazing, even in the rain.

Well, of course not… but for a while it looked like tatties were vanishing! Turns out that volunteer Gillian had been around a pulled the first crop! And they were delicious too! Meanwile we are all busy creating even more abundance to share

… almost! Very very cold – and something is eating the brassicas – but great to be back at Ayton Community Garden. Got the planting plans sorted for the year so really feels like spring has sprung.
