While foraging opportunities become fewer over the winter months, we are going to focus on the winter veg that we are still growing in the gardens and give a few ideas for hearty, healthy, warming recipes.
This celery was picked from the garden yesterday, 12th November and turned into one delicious fresh soup and provided a tasty base to a second. Both of these delicious soups were served at the Social Lunch we host each week in Coldstream.

This first soup not only has fresh celery but locally grown potatoes.
This second soup is deliciously tomatoey, so could easily be a summer soup, but the addition of lentils, freshly picked celery and freshly pulled carrots make it a perfect winter warmer.
